Anthony “Doc” Clas, Ed.D.

This is a blog about my experiences as a father, husband, military professional, and martial artist to help others learn and grow from my lessons learned.

Personally, I’ve been happily married since 2005 and have two beautiful children who are navigating through the unique aspects which come from being a military family. I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, Illinois and joined the military after completing my undergraduate degree from Saint Xavier University.

Professionally, I have served on active duty with the U.S. military since 2004 and have deployed to Iraq, several countries in Europe, and the Republic of Korea. I am currently stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina where I continue to sharpen my skills as a mass-communications professional. Additionally, while on active duty, I was fortunate enough to have completed a bachelor’s degree from Saint Xavier University in Chicago, Illinois; two masters degrees from Tiffin University in Tiffin, Ohio and the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College; and a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership from Argosy University in Phoenix, Arizona.

In 2014, while stationed in Kansas, I was searching for a way to improve my physical and mental fitness through martial arts. My wife and I were expecting our first born and I faced the realization that I didn’t really know how to defend myself, let alone pass those skills on to my children in the future. I’ve reaped the benefits that come from being a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu practitioner and believe it’s time for me to pay it forward and help others achieve your own personal goals, aspirations, and improve your hoilistic well-being.

Comprehensive fitness is the key to resilience, personal growth, and happiness, so let’s get their together. One team, One family!
